I told you that this moment was coming. And it has finally arrived– I have finally started making microwave meals. For the first half of my freshman year of college, I really only used my microwave to heat up some popcorn (and one piece of left over pesto pizza because I didn’t want to get up and leave to get food). But, I have finally decided to venture out and try some microwave meals.
I decided to do a baked oatmeal for my first microwave recipe because I love oatmeal and I really wanted to figure out how to make a delicious baked oatmeal in minutes. This recipe is super easy and you can totally make it during those mornings when you accidently sleep through your alarm and you really only have 15 minutes to get ready and make breakfast– just throw on an outfit, put on some mascara, mix this up, nuke it in the microwave, and sprint out the door to your class.
Also, who can’t resist a delicious little mug of oatmeal on a cold, wintery day?
(This recipe is especially good before a big test in your 8am class. This has gotten me through a lot of 8am biology and math tests… I personally make this with blueberries before test day because blueberries are said to be brain food– I’m going to take any advantage I can get when it comes to taking a test.
